Job summary

Hytech in Malaysia is seeking a Java Developer to join a dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop, test and maintain Java-based applications, collaborating with senior engineers to design new features and optimize performance.

You will work with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate, interacting with relational databases and modern tooling. A strong foundation in OOP and problem-solving will help you deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and its ecosystem (JDK, Maven/Gradle).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate or similar.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices is a plus.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka) and caching (Redis) is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code for various applications.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and functionalities for Java-based systems.
• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and support of applications in production environments.
