Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia seeks an experienced Java professional to maintain, develop, implement and support Java applications and related interfaces with downstream systems. You will participate in requirements study, design and take part in production support following SOPs and best practices.

You will assist the team lead in planning, coordinating and executing development, implementation and production support activities, while liaising with business users, vendors and the PMO to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science & Information Technology.
• 6+ years of experience in IT Enterprise Applications in financial environments.
• Experience in application server clustering, performance tuning, and testing.
• Experience developing applications using Java EE, Spring, and JSF.
• Strong SQL and ORM knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Application Lifecycle, development, implementation, support, and maintenance of assigned applications.
• System analysis, design, development, reporting, amendment, and enhancement for assigned applications.
• Decide on technical approaches for system enhancements.
• Propose enhancements for better performance of applications.
• Requirements analysis & stakeholder management; liaise with users and vendors.
• Provide options and recommendations to address business requirements.
• Ensure documentation aligns with Bank standards and security controls.
• Production support and incident management.
• Assist Manager in planning and coordinating team activities.
