Qualifications

• 5 years of Tier 2 IT operations and system/database maintenance experience.
• Familiar with IT infrastructure: virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, backups, and monitoring tools.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to communicate with teams across APAC.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple internal payroll systems across Malaysia, China and other countries.
• Oversee payroll applications lifecycle: vendor management, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and de‑installation.
• Configure and maintain databases and systems for regional payroll users across 14 APAC countries.
• Provide application support and troubleshooting for payroll teams.
• Monitor servers, network devices, storage, and cloud environments for performance and health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents within SLA.
• Perform regular system maintenance and optimization.

Senior IT Support (Chinese speaking, 5 yrs)

• Manage multiple internal payroll systems in Malaysia, China and other countries
• Manage payroll applications lifecycle, eg. payroll vendor management, installation, ongoing maintanance/monitoring/troubleshooting, and de‑installation
• Configure and maintain databases and system for regional payroll users across 14 APAC countries
• Provide application support and troubleshooting assistance to payroll teams
• Monitor performance and health of servers, network devices, storage, and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems within SLA
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and optimization

Other General IT Support:

• Cover/ backup other IT Team Members' day-to-day operations
• Include but not limited to Tier 1 user support, Tier 2 network maintainance, etc.
• Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by IT Manager

Requirements:

• 5 years' experience in Tier 2 IT operations and system database maintenance
• Familiar with IT infrastructure technical skills:
  • Virtualization: VMware, Hyper V
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing & switching
  • Cloud platforms: Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Backup systems, monitoring tools, and storage technologies
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English
