Senior IT Pre-Sales Engineer — Data Center Solutions

Job summary

SNS Network is seeking a seasoned pre-sales professional to drive technical engagements across client infrastructures in Malaysia. You will articulate customer requirements, design robust technical solutions, and present compelling demonstrations that showcase the value of our offerings.

In this role, you will collaborate with sales teams, prepare materials and BOMs, and stay aligned with industry trends. A strong emphasis on independent work and teamwork will support successful implementations

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a pre-sales or technical sales or systems engineering role.
• Good technical knowledge of enterprise server, storage, server virtualization, backup solutions, and data center networking.
• Proficiency with at least two major vendors (DELL, HPE, Lenovo, Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, etc.).
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and customer-centric approach.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Professional Certifications: Dell DCS-TA, HPE MASE, NetApp CTSP, VMware VCP, Veeam VMCE, or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Applicants must be willing to work in 3 Two Square, PJ.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team and lead deep-dive sessions with customers to understand their current infrastructure, pain points, and future goals, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct live product demonstrations, presentations, and manage Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations to prove the value of proposed solutions.
• Provide pre-sales support, including preparing bill of materials, technical proposals, and technical specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
• Assist post-sales engineers to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Perform onsite service at clients' locations as and when required.
• To undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
