Job summary

Penguin Solutions Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to collaborate with business IT resources, document requirements, and assist with robust, secure, scalable environments (endpoints, network, servers, storage, cloud).

The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years in IT infrastructure, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating with Global IT Services and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of IT infrastructure, system administration, or related experience.
• Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
• Strong customer focus and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Office 365.
• Experience with SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
• Able to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee systems performance and maintain IT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve IT hardware and software issues.
• Plan LAN layouts, backups, telecommunication with IT Services.
• Support deployment of endpoints, networking, servers, storage.
• Recommend hardware and software upgrades.
• Coordinate vendors per SLAs and procurement needs.
• Manage IT issues with Global IT Services team.
• Lead technical projects and vendor collaborations.
• Conduct internal training and assist audits.
• Document deployment, lifecycle, monitoring, and operations.
