Job summary

Rm Staffing Bv seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site contract work in Penang, Malaysia. You will support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities, performing installations, cabling, racking, and troubleshooting.

The role requires 2+ years in data centers, strong cabling and server hardware knowledge, and English communication. Certifications (CDCP/CDCS/CCNA/CompTIA Network+) are preferred; own transport is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong copper/fiber cabling skills.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional English communication.
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
