Penguin Solutions Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer who collaborates with business IT resources to document requirements, design, implement, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable IT environments across endpoints, networks, servers, storage and cloud.

The role emphasizes high availability, business continuity, problem solving, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while driving IT projects, vendor coordination, and ITIL-aligned processes.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
• 5-7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, end-user support or related roles.
• Self-starter and eager to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with customer focus and ability to work with customers to shape their future initiatives.
• Proficiency with Windows, MacOS, and Office 365; strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience using SCCM and Microsoft Intune for device configuration and imaging.
• Experience in supporting PC hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and conference room tech.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain professionalism and integrity.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to end-user needs.
• Understand and follow ITIL standards and processes.
• Knowledge of Linux Workstations & Server is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Oversee systems performance, monitoring and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Provide investigation, diagnostic testing and resolution for IT systems, hardware and software.
• Gather business requirements and plan LAN layouts, backups, telecommunications and regional support.
• Facilitate deployment of infrastructure including endpoints, networking hardware, servers and storage solutions.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions and upgrades.
• Coordinate and manage vendors for IT services, projects or equipment procurement per SLAs.
• Manage IT issues with internal customers and Global IT Services team.
• Lead technical projects and vendor collaborations; stakeholder management.
• Conduct internal training and assist in IT audits as required.
• Create and maintain standard deployment, lifecycle maintenance, monitoring and daily operations docs.
