Job summary

Hibiscus Petroleum invites a Senior Engineer, IT Infrastructure to lead strategy, architecture and operations across Malaysia. You will own infrastructure design, reliability, and performance, while guiding vendor management and governance frameworks.

The role emphasizes 24x7 operations readiness, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement, with vast exposure to data centre, virtualization, backup and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT-equivalent qualification.
• A favourable mix of certifications: MCSE, VCP, MCSE or ITIL is a plus.
• A minimum of ten years of IT engineering and operations experience, with at least five years in three specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement infrastructure strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure reliability, availability, performance and security across data centre, server, storage, backup, cloud and workplace infra.
• Lead capacity and demand planning; monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for incidents and problems.
• Develop and execute disaster recovery, backup and restoration plans and tests.
• Design infrastructure architectures and lead projects through gates for delivery.
• Manage infrastructure vendors, contracts and resources for cost efficiency.
• Establish ITIL processes and continuous improvement in infrastructure operations.
