Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Space Planning and Interior Design, with the ability to create functional, culturally relevant interiors.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Architecture and Interior Architecture, including building systems, codes, and integration of interior concepts within overall architectural design.
• Hands-on experience in Interior Fit-out, overseeing details, materials, finishes, and coordination with contractors to ensure high-quality execution.
• Proficiency in design and documentation software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino or similar) and visualization tools for presentations.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture/Interior Design with a minimum of 4 years or working experience.

Role Description

The Senior Interior Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this position, the individual will lead interior architecture and design projects from concept through completion, including space planning, design development, material selection, and coordination of interior fit-out details. Day-to-day tasks include preparing drawings and specifications, collaborating with architects and designers, reviewing contractor work on site, and ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout construction. The role also involves meeting with clients, presenting design proposals, managing project timelines and deliverables, and mentoring junior team members. The Senior Interior Architect will contribute to research-driven design, integrating cultural context, functionality, and environmental considerations into every project.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Space Planning and Interior Design, with the ability to create functional, culturally relevant, and aesthetically cohesive interiors.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Architecture and Interior Architecture, including building systems, codes, and integration of interior concepts within overall architectural design.
• Hands-on experience in Interior Fit-out, overseeing details, materials, finishes, and coordination with contractors to ensure high-quality execution.
• Proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar) and visualization tools for presentations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design, or a closely related discipline with a a miniumum of 4 years or working experience
• Experience in leading projects, managing clients, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams; prior work in a studio or practice focused on context-driven design is an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey design ideas and collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a studio environment.
