Job summary

BOSCH HOME COMFORT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Production Engineer specialized in plastic injection molding to plan, coordinate, and control daily molding activities.

The role focuses on achieving SQCDP objectives while ensuring machine utilization, process stability, and product quality. You will lead continuous improvement, apply Lean practices, and drive corrective actions to reduce defects and downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
• 3–5 years of molding engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and machine operation.
• Knowledge of mold construction, molding defects, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production meetings and review molding shop performance using SQCDP indicators.
• Plan, monitor, and control daily injection molding production activities to meet schedules.
• Monitor machine utilization, OEE, cycle time, downtime, and production efficiency.
• Optimize injection molding processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
• Troubleshoot molding machine, mold, process, and product quality issues.
• Establish and maintain molding process parameters and standards.
• Conduct process validation, machine setup approval, and first-piece verification.
• Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap, defects, and machine downtime.
• Coordinate mold trials, new product introductions, and engineering changes.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities for molding machines and equipment.
• Monitor raw material consumption, drying conditions, and material handling processes.
• Prepare and analyze production reports, machine performance reports, rejection trends, and improvement plans.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and quality issues.
