Job summary

Kagina Pte Ltd is seeking a dynamic Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Operations team in a global environment. You will own and optimize Dell server platforms, NetApp and Pure storage, VMware virtualization, and cloud services across AWS and Azure, ensuring reliability and scalability.

You will lead complex projects, mentor junior staff, automate tasks with scripting languages, and collaborate with security, network, and application teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering and systems administration experience.
• Expert-level Dell server hardware management (iDRAC, OpenManage).
• Extensive NetApp storage administration and protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI).
• Advanced VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter and related virtualization expertise.

Responsibilities

• Implement, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions using Dell servers, NetApp and Pure storage, VMware virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure services including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• Lead complex infrastructure projects such as cloud migrations, hybrid integrations, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Manage and optimize NetApp and Pure storage systems for high availability and performance.
• Administer and enhance VMware environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual networking, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams for seamless integration and performance.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and cloud-native tools.
• Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Provide Tier 3 support and mentorship to junior engineers within the global team.
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Job description

We are seeking somebody who is dynamic, engaging, confident, has strong technical skills, is self-motivated and can work independently, reporting to Director IT Operations. This role requires deep expertise in DELL server platforms, NetApp and Pure storage systems, VMware virtualization technologies, and cloud service providers services (AWS and Azure). The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and a proactive approach to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Customer's global infrastructure. Individual work within the Operations team and Network Operations team its SMEs and senior engineers provide key input to technical support, implementation support and technical collaboration.

Key responsibilities

Implement, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions utilizing Dell servers, NetApp and Pure storage, VMware virtualization, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.

Lead complex infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, hybrid integrations, upgrades, and capacity planning.

Manage and optimize NetApp and Pure storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

Administer and enhance VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual networking, and lifecycle management.

Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of all infrastructure components.

Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, Bash, and cloud-native automation tools.

Proactively monitor system health, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.

Provide expert Tier 3 support and technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the global team.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

About you

7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and systems administration.

Expert-level knowledge of Dell server hardware and management tools (e.g., iDRAC, OpenManage).

Extensive experience with NetApp storage systems, including administration, configuration, and protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI).

Advanced proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related virtualization technologies.

Advanced proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, including services for compute, storage, networking, and security.

Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for infrastructure automation and monitoring.

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, SAN environments, and Windows/Linux server administration.

Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work 8-5 EST and on call as needed.
