Job summary

Ferrotec is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations professional to support the HR Department in Kedah, Malaysia. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Employment Act and related IR regulations, developing policies, and handling disciplinary processes with confidentiality.

You will work closely with the IR & ER team and departmental managers to manage employee relations, audits, payroll compliance, and timely HR administration in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiar with Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967.
• Senior Executive/Executive level with specialization in Industrial Relations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and related statutes.
• Manage IR documentation, update policies, and ensure disciplinary procedures protect fairness.
• Assist IR & ER Manager in investigations, counseling, and issuing disciplinary letters.
• Coordinate hearings with departmental managers and prepare relevant documents.
• Handle inquiries on HR policies, IR practices, grievances, and labour disputes.
• Audit employment records, payroll, attendance, and facilities for compliance.
