Job summary

Toyota Malaysia in Shah Alam seeks an experienced professional to manage Industrial Relations and Employee Relations matters. The role involves handling disciplinary matters, grievances, counselling, DI coordination, and advising management on IR policies to uphold compliance and best practices.

You will draft IR correspondence, monitor labour law compliance, liaise with authorities, and maintain accurate IR records for management review. A strong background in HR with focus on IR is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Law, Business Admin or related field.
• 2–5 years of HR experience, with 2–3 years in IR.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia’s labour laws, regulations and IR practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee disciplinary matters, grievances and counselling.
• Coordinate and conduct domestic inquiries (DI) when required.
• Draft and issue show cause letters, warning letters and other IR-related correspondence.
• Advise management on IR policies and best practices.
• Maintain IR records and prepare periodic reports.
