Carrier is seeking a Deputy Sales Manager in Penang, Malaysia, to drive sales of commercial HVAC solutions including chillers, AHUs and FCUs. You will lead business development, engage consultants and contractors, manage tenders and pricing, and convert opportunities into orders.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/building services engineering degree and 5–8 years of relevant sales experience, with a proven track record in project sales and excellent communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• Degree required in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of sales experience in commercial HVAC/building services/M&E contracting or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and applications.
• Proven track record in project sales and customer relationship management.
• Ability to engage consultants, contractors, developers and end users.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Achieve annual sales and margin targets for Carrier’s commercial HVAC solutions.
• Identify, develop, and secure new project opportunities within the commercial HVAC market.
• Build and maintain relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, developers, owners and end users.
• Develop project pipelines and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and project developments.
• Promote Carrier solutions to consulting engineers and project stakeholders.
• Drive specification inclusion for chillers, AHUs, and FCUs.
• Conduct technical presentations and product briefings.
• Support consultants in equipment selection and technical evaluations.
• Manage projects from opportunity identification through order closure.
• Coordinate tender submissions, quotations and commercial proposals.
• Develop competitive pricing while protecting profitability.
• Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with customers.
• Serve as a key contact for assigned customers and accounts.
• Understand customer requirements and propose suitable HVAC solutions.
• Handle customer concerns and coordinate internal support.
• Strengthen long-term customer loyalty and market presence.
• Work closely with application engineering, service, operations, finance and management teams.
• Ensure smooth project handover after order receipt.
• Support collection activities and monitor customer credit exposure when required.
