Job summary

Carrier International Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Deputy Manager, Commercial Sales / Senior Engineer – Systems to drive annual sales targets for commercial HVAC solutions, including chillers, AHUs, and FCUs. You will build and maintain relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, developers, owners, and end users, while guiding projects from opportunity to order closure.

The role requires a degree in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering and 5–8 years of relevant sales

Qualifications

• Degree required in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years of sales experience in commercial HVAC/building services/M&E contracting or related industries.
• Proven track record in project sales and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales and margin targets.
• Identify and secure new project opportunities within the commercial HVAC market.
• Build and maintain relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, developers, owners, and end users.
• Develop project pipelines and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project developments.
• Promote Carrier solutions to consulting engineers and project stakeholders.
• Drive specification inclusion for chillers, AHUs, and FCUs.
• Conduct technical presentations and product briefings.
• Support consultants in equipment selection and technical evaluations.
• Manage projects from opportunity identification through order closure.
• Coordinate tender submissions, quotations, and commercial proposals.
• Develop competitive pricing strategies while protecting profitability.
• Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions with customers.
• Customer Relationship Management: serve as a key point of contact, understand requirements, propose suitable HVAC solutions, handle concerns, and strengthen loyalty.
• Internal Coordination: work with application engineering, service, operations, finance, and management; ensure smooth handover after order receipt.
