Job summary

Peoplelake Resources Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior M&E Cost Estimator with expertise in HVAC/ACMV systems to lead cost estimation, tender evaluation, and contract administration for complex mechanical projects.

You will prepare budgets, analyze quotations, manage variations, and coordinate with MEP engineers and main contractors to ensure on-time delivery and cost control. A Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying with relevant HVAC experience is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline (RICS accreditation or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 7 years experience as a Cost Estimator with at least 5 years dedicated to HVAC/ACMV or mechanical systems projects.
• Certification or formal training in HVAC/ACMV systems design and operations is a plus.
• Professional membership with recognized quantity surveying bodies (RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Tender Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for HVAC/ACMV installations; evaluate tenders and bills of quantities; negotiate contracts.
• Project Administration & Contract Management: Monitor expenditures, manage variations and payment certificates; conduct site inspections.
• Technical Coordination & Quality Assurance: Liaise with MEP engineers, architects, and main contractors; review technical documents and ensure compliance.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain project records and provide regular cost/status updates to management.
