Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee day-to-day staffing, training, and quality service. You will work with other department heads and support the housekeeping team during peak periods, ensuring suites and public areas meet high standards.

We expect a Diploma or degree in Hospitality, plus at least 4 years of supervisory housekeeping experience. Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' housekeeping experience, including supervisory experience.
• Fluent English required; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day staffing, plan and assign work, and set performance goals.
• Train all team members in compliance with governmental and safety regulations.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other department heads.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and support the housekeeping team during high-volume periods.
• Monitor daily inventory for housekeeping amenities and equipment; inspect for defects.
• Inspect suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repairs; retrain as needed.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests to ensure full satisfaction.
• May serve as manager on duty.
