Job summary

Crown Plaza Hotels & Resorts Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to assist the Director of Sales in management of all sales activities and events. The role requires coordinating with hotel teams to exceed revenue targets and manage strategic client relationships.

The successful candidate will lead a sales team, monitor budgets, perform market research, and drive new business opportunities while maintaining high standards of guest service and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years sales experience in 4- or 5-star hotel property.
• Hospitality degree or equivalent.
• Excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera Sales.
• Proven ability to creating new business opportunities.
• Independent, assertive and positive with ability to develop in a team environment.
• Driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Sales in managing all sales activities and events.
• Manage day-to-day sales activities and build relationships with team members.
• Develop clear communication with intra-departments.
• Lead and mentor the sales team and plan manpower and budget.
• Develop market research and maintain contacts with business generators.
• Attend trade shows and sell conference space as needed.
• Sell to new, existing, and prospective customers per sales strategy.
• Maintain budgets and forecasts for the department.
