Job summary

HID Global in Malaysia seeks a Senior Industrial Software Engineer to design, develop, and support industrial software for manufacturing automation, focusing on HMI and integration with PLCs and SQL Server. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to ensure reliable machine performance and continuous improvement.

The role requires a strong software background, experience with C#/.NET, and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10–15%).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in software/automation/electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of industrial software development in automation/manufacturing.
Proven experience with C# and .NET for HMI and software apps.
Experience integrating software with SQL Server and industrial systems.
Ability to support machine commissioning, FAT/SAT, and production start-up.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain industrial software applications using C#/.NET.
Create intuitive HMI applications for automated manufacturing equipment.
Integrate software with SQL Server, PLCs, and industrial devices.
Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and production start-up activities.
Troubleshoot software and system integration issues and drive improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and produce engineering documentation.
