Job summary

UBCT is seeking an software engineer to design, develop, and deploy robust applications for automation and system integration in Penang, Malaysia. You will work on real-world projects involving PLCs, robots, MES, and industrial systems, following best practices and coding standards within a full SDLC.

The role requires 3–5 years of software development experience, with proficiency in C#, Visual Studio, and SQL tools, plus experience with APIs, SAP, MES, or automation system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in software development (preferably industrial).
• Proficient in C#, Visual Studio, and SQL tools.
• Experience with APIs, SAP, MES, or automation system integration.
• Able to manage software timelines, budgets, and documentation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop features using C#, following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in full SDLC: design, code, test, deploy, and maintain.
• Integrate software with hardware systems (PLC, robot arms, sensors).
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to align on requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to solution architecture.
