Job summary

Grab is building scalable backend services with a microservices mindset and delivering frontend interfaces using React. This Insurance Operations team in Malaysia creates internal tools and dashboards to empower decision making and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate across teams, own features from design to deployment, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability of critical services. The role emphasizes ownership, learning, and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React.
• Experience with Java/Go or Node.js backend languages.
• Relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and Git.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Knowledge of clean architecture and SOLID principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality backend services within a microservices architecture.
• Design and maintain frontend web applications using React.
• Build internal tools and dashboards for Insurance Operations.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
• Collaborate across teams to design and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• Participate in On-Call rotations for service reliability.
