Job summary

GrabFin in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to power insurance operations by building scalable backend systems for accounting, reporting, and third-party integrations. You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, and work onsite in Petaling Jaya.

Responsibilities include developing backend services, integrating ISM/APAD/JPJ for regulatory compliance, and contributing to architecture decisions while ensuring reliability through on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality and scalable backend applications for accounting, reporting, and integration services
• Build and maintain third-party integrations (ISM, APAD, JPJ) for regulatory compliance
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to solve challenging problems
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design and ship new features
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
• Troubleshoot, debug complex issues, and provide quick resolutions
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction
• Participate in On-Call rotations to ensure service reliability
