Job summary

GrabFin in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to power insurance operations by building scalable backend systems for accounting, reporting, and third-party integrations. You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, and work onsite in Petaling Jaya.

Responsibilities include developing backend services, integrating ISM/APAD/JPJ for regulatory compliance, and contributing to architecture decisions while ensuring reliability through on-call rotations.

At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The Insurance Operations PST in Malaysia supports Insurance products and owns Accounting, Reports, Internal Tools, and Third-Party Integration domains for insurance products.

Get to know the Role

You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, based in Malaysia and develop backend systems powering accounting, reporting, and third-party integrations for insurance products. You will work on BNM regulatory reporting capabilities and local partnership integrations. We're looking for candidates that embody ownership, display a hunger for learning and improvement, and excel in autonomy.

This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.
