Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full-set accounts up to P&L and balance sheet, ensuring timely monthly and yearly closings. The role includes issuing progress billings, maintaining HDA, and coordinating audits and tax schedules.

You will oversee cost tracking, monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and review junior staff work while liaising with auditors and bankers as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting or professional qualification like LCCI, ACCA or CAT.
• Minimum 5 years full-set accounting experience, including 2 years in property development or construction.
• Familiar with Housing Development Accounts (HDA) and progress billing under Schedule G/H.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software such as SQL, AutoCount, UBS or similar.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts up to P&L and balance sheet; complete monthly and yearly closing on time.
• Issue progress billings to purchasers based on architect's certificates and follow up on collections.
• Maintain Housing Development Accounts (HDA) and prepare withdrawal applications with supporting certification.
• Verify contractor progress claims, retention sums and variation orders; process payments and staff claims.
• Track project costs and prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow reports.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules; handle SST and LHDN submissions.
• Guide and review the work of junior accounts staff.
