Teradyne in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide hands-on support for production test fixtures and tooling across LitePoint, MultiLane, and Quantifi lines. You will troubleshoot, modify, and improve fixtures during NPI, ramp, and mass production, collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and external vendors.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; master’s preferred.
• 10-15+ years in mechanical/manufacturing engineering in production.
• Hands-on experience with fixtures, tooling, and test systems through NPI and volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, fits, fasteners, materials, finishes, machining, sheet metal, plastics.
• Production-ready fixture design experience required.
• Proficient with a mainstream 3D CAD platform; review 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with inspection tools and collaborating with suppliers.
• Knowledge of engineering change processes and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on mechanical engineering support for assembly, alignment, calibration, handling, and production test fixtures.
• Support field installation activities, system integration, commissioning, acceptance at customer locations.
• Own localization of mechanicals and packaging material with Supply Chain.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs, and fixture design intent to diagnose issues.
• Evaluate fixtures and production setups and implement improvements for safety, quality, throughput.
• Troubleshoot design and integration issues during prototype builds and ramp.
• Provide feedback for manufacturability, assembly, testing, and service."
• Develop technical requirements, sketches, redlines for fixture modifications and tooling.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, qualification, and sustaining support at sites.
