Job summary

IGB Berhad, a key investment holding company near KLCC, seeks a Senior Financial Manager to drive corporate finance, governance, and portfolio strategy. You will report to the Board and lead the finance and secretarial functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust financial management.

The role requires a Chartered or CPA-level credential, a decade of post-qualification experience in finance, and proven leadership of a lean finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or MIA).
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in corporate finance.
• At least 6 years overseeing a lean accounting, audit or finance team.
• In-depth knowledge of local corporate governance laws and filings.

Responsibilities

• Execute capital restructuring, debt optimization, and dividend strategies.
• Oversee and manage liquid and non-liquid investment portfolios.
• Primary in-house Company Secretary handling statutory filings and governance.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Financial Manager to drive the financial and regulatory management of our medium-sized investment holding company located in the vicinity of KLCC. This individual will be reporting directly to the Board of Directors, and will hold broad accountability over corporate finance execution, in-house company secretarial compliance duties, and strategic portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Execute capital restructuring, debt optimization, and dividend distribution strategies across the investment holding structure.

Oversee and actively manage the company’s liquid and non-liquid investment portfolios.

Act as the primary in-house Company Secretary, handling all statutory filings, ensuring strict compliance with local companies acts and governance codes.

Oversee the accounting staff for preparation of monthly accounts for Management briefings.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Certification: Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MIA).

Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance, investment management, and/or internal or external audit managerial level.

At least 6 years of experience directly managing a lean accounting, audit or finance team. Relevant experienced audit managers are preferred.

Secretarial Experience: In-depth operational knowledge of local corporate governance laws and statutory filing protocols.

Deal Structuring: Conversant in finance valuation methodologies, investment evaluation, and corporate tax estimation frameworks.

Communication: Elite presentation and computer literacy skills
