Job summary

Private Advertiser in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function on a full-time basis. The role focuses on robust financial controls, timely reporting, and strategic insights for the company’s growth in the Johor region.

Responsibilities include directing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and presenting cash flow analyses to senior management.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA, or equivalent recognised certification
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior financial controller or similar leadership role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems, with demonstrated competency in Excel and data analysis tools
• Excellent knowledge of Malaysia's tax regulations, employment laws, and statutory reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Experience managing audits and working collaboratively with external auditors
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Preferably, experience working within a group structure or multi-subsidiary environment

Responsibilities

• Directing and managing the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting processes
• Preparing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Take charge of entirely Finance Division and ensure all statutory reports are submitted accurately and on time. Provide guidance and supports subordinates to ensure all SMART financial objectives are met.
• Present and supports BODs on financial investments and cash flow forecast of each property development projects
