Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MIA or other professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is required
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with substantial experience in property development or construction industries
• Strong expertise in project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost management specific to property development
• Proven track record of leading accounting teams and managing finance functions in medium to large organization
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of presenting financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences
• Integrity and attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial control and governance
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly financial close processes
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, management accounts, and financial reports to senior management and stakeholders on a timely basis
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements relevant to property development
• Manage and monitor project accounting for multiple property development projects, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and project profitability analysis
• Develop and implement effective financial control systems, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
• Conduct budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth audits and compliance reporting
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the finance function
• Support business development initiatives through financial analysis and feasibility studies on potential projects
