Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a manufacturing plant. You will oversee financial performance, governance, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with local management and regional finance stakeholders.

The successful candidate will provide timely, accurate financial insights to support strategic decisions, manage statutory compliance, and drive cost control and operational excellence across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in auditing, financial reporting, management reporting, or finance operations.
• At least 3 years of management experience leading finance teams.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is highly regarded.
• Exposure to multinational company reporting, listed companies, oil & gas, or complex industrial operations will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the plant finance team, overseeing daily finance activities including revenue recognition, costing, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial controls.
• Review monthly financial reporting packages and consolidation schedules to ensure compliance with group reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis, management reports, and performance insights to support business decisions.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison between local operations and regional or headquarters finance teams.
• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor production efficiency, manufacturing costs, and key performance indicators.
• Identify and drive cost optimisation and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Partner closely with operations, supply chain, production management, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

• Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and cash-flow planning

  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective action where necessary

  • Provide scenario analysis and strategic financial support to management

• Projects & Compliance

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements

  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives and other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements
