Job summary

KOS International Talent Group represents a well-established multinational manufacturing client in Malaysia seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee plant finances, deliver timely insights to local management and HQ, and ensure accurate reporting.

This role leads the plant finance team, manages monthly closes, budgeting and forecasts, cost control, and GAAP/regulatory compliance, while partnering with operations and supply chain to drive value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or Finance is required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in auditing, financial and managerial reporting, 3 years at managerial level, manufacturing sector/oil and gas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the plant's finance team, responsible for all daily finance matters (revenue recognition, costing, payment, general ledger).
• Review month-end reporting templates for consolidation disclosures and compliance.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure reports comply with GAAP or regulatory requirements.
• Collect, interpret and review financial information.
• Monitor production efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Serve as a key contact point for local and HQ finance teams.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, production managers and group companies.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Our client is a well-established multinational manufacturing organization with a significant operational presence in Malaysia. As part of its continued growth and investment in operational excellence, the company is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee the financial management of its manufacturing operations.

This position serves as a key leadership role within the Malaysia plant, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and value-added financial insights to both local management and the headquarters finance team. The role is responsible for overseeing financial performance, managing statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, and supporting senior leadership with high-quality financial analysis and business partnering.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in a manufacturing, chemical, energy, oil & gas, or other process-driven industrial environment, coupled with a proven track record in plant finance, business partnering, and operational finance leadership.

About the Role

This role is report to the local plant management/Headquarter Head of Finance and its primary duties including, but are not limited to, the following:
