Job summary

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and manage budgets and planning. You will guide the finance team, provide insights for strategic decisions, and implement best practices for efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in financial management, a degree in accounting/finance (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA preferred), and strong leadership, communication, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of financial management experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and risk management.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Experience in Manufacturing and familiarity with Infor LN.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of management reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Identify variances and recommend corrective actions to align with financial goals.
• Support strategic planning with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Manage cash flow and mitigate financial risks through robust controls.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to drive efficiency and growth.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls; liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
