Job summary

Kanry Search is seeking a Senior Finance Executive (Manufacturing MNC) to oversee the full set of accounts and financial operations in Malaysia. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, budgeting experience, and coordination with auditors and tax authorities.

The successful candidate will manage month-end close, prepare financial statements, and provide insights to management for decision-making. Manufacturing costing familiarity is a plus and independent work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.
• ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in accounting, financial reporting or finance operations is required.
• Experience handling full sets of accounts and knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards is essential.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in budgeting and financial analysis, forecasts and projections.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents for compliance.
• Maintain effective internal controls and document processes.
• Guide and review the work of junior accounting personnel.
