Job summary

You will monitor FX movements, update exchange rates, and coordinate with banks, payment gateways, and internal teams on settlements, reports, and compliance. Mandarin ability is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, banking, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant finance experience.
• Experience in settlement, reconciliation, or fintech is advantageous.
• Knowledge of FX movements and bank settlements.
• Mandarin-speaking ability will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day finance operations and support monthly accounting closing.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Check and reconcile bank settlements, payment records, and transaction reports.
• Reconcile U Card-related transactions, including card top-ups, spending, refunds, reversals, wallet balances, and bank / partner settlements.
• Monitor world currency exchange rate movements and update internal exchange rates accordingly.
• Adjust rates when there are foreign exchange fluctuations, based on company pricing and margin guidelines.
• Ensure the company’s exchange rate charges and mark-up are updated accurately on top of the world currency rate.
• Prepare daily / monthly transaction reports, settlement reports, FX gain / loss reports, and exception reports for management review.
• Support checking of failed transactions, disputes, refunds, and chargebacks, and liaise with internal teams or external partners when required.
• Highlight any abnormal transaction patterns, settlement discrepancies, or unusual FX movements to management.
• Liaise with banks, payment gateways, card processors, merchants, and internal departments on finance and settlement matters.
• Support audit, compliance, AML, and internal control requirements where necessary.
• Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and projects assigned by management.
