Job summary

Genting Malaysia Bhd is seeking a qualified accounting professional to join the financial reporting team in Malaysia. The role focuses on quarterly consolidation, group reporting, statutory financial statements, and management presentations.

You will support year-end audits, coordinate with internal and external auditors, and provide guidance to junior staff. The position requires 3–5 years of experience and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications.
• Finalist/Member of professional body (e.g. MIA, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, CPA, ICAA).
• Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience. Auditing experience is an advantage.
• Experience in basic consolidation is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Meticulous and highly organized.
• Good interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Cognos/SAP will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of GENM Group quarterly reporting pack for quarterly announcement.
• Assist in GENM Group consolidation for quarterly reporting, year end audit and annual report purposes.
• Preparation of GENM Group monthly & quarterly performance presentation to management.
• Compilation of financial statistics from various finance team for presentation to management on quarterly basis.
• Preparation of Group statutory financial statements, which includes analysis of Balance Sheet & Profit or Loss.
• Involve in training and technical accounting updates/guidance to finance team.
• Review monthly journal posting and quarterly reporting schedules prepared by junior finance executive.
• Provide guidance to junior finance executive.
• To administer, coordinate and liaise with various parties concerned for necessary actions with regards to the various reporting needs of the Group (including internal/external auditors).
• Any other ad-hoc assignments related to financial reporting, including complex transactions.

In financial reporting team, our main scope is quarterly reporting like preparing consolidation for the group, quarterly announcement for bursa announcement, quarterly slides for BOD meeting, prepare group and company financial statements, provide technical advice to operational accounting team if required, etc.
