Job summary

Genting Malaysia Bhd is seeking a Finance professional to join its Financial Reporting team in Malaysia. The role centers on quarterly reporting, consolidation for the group, Bursa announcements, and preparing group and company financial statements.

You will also provide technical guidance to operational accounting teams when needed. Key duties include preparing the GENM Group quarterly reporting pack, assisting with group consolidation for year-end audits and annual reports, and producing

Responsibilities

• Prepare GENM Group quarterly reporting pack for quarterly announcements.
• Assist in GENM Group consolidation for quarterly reporting, year end audit and annual report purposes.
• Prepare GENM Group monthly & quarterly performance presentations to management.
• Compile financial statistics from various finance teams for management review on a quarterly basis.
• Prepare subsidiaries statutory financial statements, including quarterly SAF analyses and yearly tax return submissions.
• Assist to prepare monthly journal postings for review by manager.
• Coordinate with parties concerned for reporting needs of the Group.
• Handle any ad-hoc assignments related to financial reporting.

In financial reporting team, our main scope is quarterly reporting like preparing consolidation for the group, quarterly announcement for bursa announcement, quarterly slides for BOD meeting, prepare group and company financial statements, provide technical advice to operational accounting team if required, etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Preparation of GENM Group quarterly reporting pack for quarterly announcement
• Assist in GENM Group consolidation for quarterly reporting, year end audit and annual report purposes
• Preparation of GENM Group monthly & quarterly performance presentation to management
• Compilation of financial statistics from various finance team for presentation to management on quarterly basis
• Preparation of subsidiaries statutory financial statements, which includes of preparation of quarterly Standard Accounting Forms (“SAF”), analysis of Profit or Loss, yearly tax return for submission to IRB, estimation of tax payable and etc
• Assist to prepare monthly journal posting for review by manager
• To administer, coordinate and liaise with various parties concerned for necessary actions with regards to the various reporting needs of the Group
• Any other ad-hoc assignments related to financial reporting

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related professional qualifications.
• Finalist/Member of professional body (E.g. MIA, ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA, CPA, ICAA).
• Minimum 1 to 2 years accounting experience. Auditing experience will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience in basic consolidation will be an added advantage.
