Geoquest Solutions Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. – Petaling is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full set of accounts and oversee month-end closing with accuracy and timeliness.
You will maintain AP, GL, fixed assets, inventory, and bank records, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and support audits, tax compliance, and management reporting. The role emphasizes analytical skills and process improvement in a project-based environment.

Geoquest Solutions Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. – Petaling
Handle full set of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Maintain Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Bank records.
Process journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and foreign exchange adjustments.
Monitor staff claims and reimbursement processes.
Perform bank, stock, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review vendor invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure timely payment to suppliers and service providers.
Manage payment processing and maintain payment records.
Handle bank reconciliations, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
Communicate payment status to vendors and stakeholders.
Coordinate annual statutory audits and prepare audit schedules.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Maintain withholding tax records and ensure timely submissions and payments.
Ensure compliance with SST, income tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing and other statutory requirements.
Liaise with tax consultants on tax planning, tax estimates, and tax filings.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Prepare project profit and loss reports and project tracking reports.
Perform budget versus actual variance analysis.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
Prepare AR aging, AP aging, inventory aging, and intercompany reporting.
Support management with financial analysis and decision‑making information.
Support and maintain accounting systems such as Oracle/SAP and QNE.
Monitor contract and agreement renewals.
Continuously identify process improvement and operational efficiency opportunities.
Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
Experience in construction, engineering, project-based, or contracting industries will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, withholding tax, and statutory compliance.
Hands‑on experience in full set accounts and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Oracle/SAP and QNE is an advantage).
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
