Job summary

Atomic Recruitment SEA in Malaysia is seeking a diligent Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting and reporting. You will help close monthly and yearly books, monitor cash flow, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and coordinate audits and statutory submissions.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. The role is based in Johor Bahru with autonomy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA/CIMA/ICAEW is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing daily finance and accounting operations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, banking facilities, AR and AP.
• Prepare and review management accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Analyse financial results and highlight key variances to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Coordinate audits, tax matters and statutory submissions.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, company policies and reporting deadlines.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and other external parties.
• Ensure monthly closing is completed by the 3rd working day.
