Job summary

Arrow Electronics in Penang, Malaysia, is hiring a Senior Field Applications Engineer to drive demand creation and champion technical solutions for customers across the ASEAN region.

You will lead with technical expertise, collaborate with suppliers and sales teams, and coordinate engineering resources to influence designs, while traveling domestically and internationally as needed. The role requires a degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering and strong R&D/embedded experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–3 years of R&D, electronics hardware design and/or field applications experience in EMS/semiconductor.
• General R&D knowledge with embedded and coding experience.
• Proficiency in MCU coding and programming languages is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with customers.
• Proactive, positive attitude with growth mindset.
• Willingness to travel domestically quarterly and internationally occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Drive demand creation across the ASEAN region by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Serve as team leader and technical spokesperson to suppliers representing Arrow.
• Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow resources to facilitate solutions.
• Partner with sales across pre- and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales and suppliers to support design decisions and ROI.
• Develop strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions and organize engineering events.
