Job summary

Arrow Electronics in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Field Applications Engineer to drive demand creation across ASEAN by leveraging Arrow's design content. You will lead as a technical spokesperson to suppliers, support customers with engineering services, and collaborate with sales and marketing to promote solutions.

You will contribute to strategic technical planning, maintain relationships with key suppliers and customers, and occasionally travel domestically and internationally to

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of related experience in R&D, electronics hardware design and/or field applications within EMS / Semiconductor environments.
• General R&D knowledge and experience in embedded and coding.
• Proficiency in MCU coding and programming languages would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive demand creation across the ASEAN region by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Be a team leader and technical spokesperson to suppliers to represent Arrow.
• Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s Business Development and Engineering Services resources to facilitate solutions for customers using technical knowledge to influence designs.
• Partner with the sales team across pre- and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation and technical calibrations with marketing, sales and suppliers.
• Work closely with Marketing to manage supplier expectations, build relationships with suppliers and customers, and keep stakeholders updated on activities and progress.
• Attend supplier trainings and business reviews, develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions, and organize engineering customer events.
