Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Penang is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our warehouse facilities, lead expansion projects, and coordinate contractor activities. You will develop preventive maintenance plans, monitor performance, and ensure safe, cost-efficient operations.

The role requires a degree in facilities management or related field, 5–8 years in a similar setting, and proven vendor management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications in facilities management, safety, or project management are an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of facility management experience, preferably within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Experience managing large‑scale warehouse facilities and multiple service vendors.
• Knowledge of building systems, M&E services, warehouse infrastructure, and facility operations.
• Familiarity with OSHA/SHE requirements, fire safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Experience in contract and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of warehouse facilities, including offices, warehouse buildings, equipment, and common areas.
• To support the business in planning the new facility setup or expansion project within the agreed completion lead-time with customer.
• To lead and organize contractors coordination meeting prior to the kick off of any facility new setup/ expansion to ensure smooth flow of facility setup project.
• To support the business by assessing the risk level of new project setup/ expansion project using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) during the project planning stage so as to minimize the risk level on the implementation stage.
• To support the business in maintaining the well being of facility and ensure zero downtime of facility & equipment operations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for building infrastructure and utilities.
• Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manner.
• Monitor facility performance and recommend improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
• Manage facility service contracts including cleaning, pest control, landscaping, security, maintenance, and waste management.
• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Negotiate service contracts and monitor vendor costs.
