Job summary

SAM Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support maintenance of facilities and general housekeeping. You will track daily power and water consumption, address equipment faults, and liaise with contractors for complex issues.

Role requires 2–3 years in facilities equipment, diploma in engineering, and ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Shift work and emergency support may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Engineering with considerable hands-on working experience in Facilities engineering.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years working experience in Facilities related equipment
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Words & Powerpoint
• Able to converse in English & Bahasa Malaysia & out-spoken
• High Self Discipline, Independent and accept to changes of environment from time to time

Responsibilities

• Attend to Facilities related machines & power failure and rectify, if possible. Otherwise, engage contractors
• Periodic inspection / maintenance of Compressed Air System, Air Conditional system, & Fire Fighting system
• Periodic servicing & maintaining the records of Overhead Cranes
• Liaise and participate on-site EHS Committee
• Support emergency (unscheduled) repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading
• Lead unscheduled repairs or troubleshooting of facilities equipment, and close monitoring on facilities system performance, critical parameters and loading
• Prepare for disaster or emergency at any time either during or after working hour
• Ability to work on shift and work irregular hours if any urgent support

Job description

To support all departments on maintenance of facilities & general housekeeping

Trending and tracking of daily power and water consumption

Attend to Facilities related machines & power failure and rectify, if possible. Otherwise, engage contractors

Periodic inspection / maintenance of Compressed Air System, Air Conditional system, & Fire Fighting system

Periodic servicing & maintaining the records of Overhead Cranes

Maintain files for DOE (Schedule Waste Store), DOSH, TNB & PBA Logbook

Liaise and participate on-site EHS Committee
