Job summary

Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh is seeking a Manager, Facilities Operations cum BO Chargeman (11KV) for hands-on leadership in building maintenance and electrical systems. The role oversees HT/LV equipment, licensing renewals, and coordination of M&E maintenance with a focus on safety and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years in a similar managerial capacity, and are prepared to manage external vendors and renovations in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in managerial role relevant in Facilities building maintenance and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of M&E, plumbing systems and relevant statutory legislation and regulations (e.g. OSHA, Factories and Machinery Act, Fire Service Act).
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all HT and LV equipment and external building sites are in good working condition as scheduled.
• Ensure all M&E equipment maintenance and calibration are carried out on schedule.
• Coordinate external building job requests and supervise vendor maintenance.
• Ensure safety of staff and visitors during repairs and inspections.
• Manage departmental cost control and asset handling to prevent damage.
• Conduct feasibility studies for renovations and ensure design compliance.
