Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Wet Systems) to own end-to-end mechanical utility systems across the lifecycle. You will oversee chilled water, process cooling water, glycol loops, and related controls, including AI-based optimization and energy management.

The role requires extensive expertise in plant design, commissioning, and O&M budgeting in a semiconductor environment, with leadership across cross-functional teams to ensure uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical/facilities engineering for central plants.
• Experience with chilled-water, PCW, glycol systems and BMS.

Responsibilities

• Review basis for build, hydraulics sizing & chiller configurations.
• Lead FAT/SAT and commissioning for chillers, pumps, heat exchangers.
• Balance hydraulic loops and optimize plant sequencing.
• Develop commissioning protocols and test plans.
• Own O&M budget planning, CAPEX justification and cost control.
• Apply AI-enabled techniques for energy optimization and reliability.
