Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Wet Systems) to own mechanical utility systems across their lifecycle. You will lead design reviews, commissioning, and operation for MTCHW, LTCHW, PCW, and EG loops, with a focus on reliability and energy efficiency.

You will direct FAT/SAT, coordinate with vendors, and manage O&M budgets while leveraging AI-driven tools to optimize plant performance in a semiconductor fab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years mechanical or facilities engineering experience.
• Experience in semiconductor/high-purity environments preferred.
• REM Type 1/2 certification helpful for energy responsibility.
• PMP or similar project-management certification beneficial.
• Experience delivering capital projects from concept to handover.
• Familiar with SAP PM, BMS, and AI-enabled optimization tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as System Owner for mechanical utility systems across their lifecycle.
• Lead FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system start-up activities.
• Manage maintenance budgets, PMs, and CAPEX justifications.
• Coordinate contractors and OEM vendors during installation and handover.
• Drive energy efficiency and AI-based optimization of plant utility systems.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and change-management processes.
