Job summary

Guocera Tile Industries seeks a procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract administration within our manufacturing network including Kluang, Meru and Petaling Jaya.

The role emphasizes negotiation, cost optimization, and compliance with ISO/ABCMS/EHS frameworks, utilizing ERP systems and MS Office to support daily procurement operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business, engineering or related field.
• 4–5 years procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing industrial materials, spare parts, equipment, or production items.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing activities including RFQs, price comparisons, and evaluations for engineering items, spare parts, machinery, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery lead times; issue POs and follow up on deliveries.
• Manage supplier issues, claims, and identify alternate sources to ensure supply continuity.
• Prepare and submit monthly cost saving and cost innovation reports.
• Monitor open PR/PO tracking for procurement visibility and control.
• Verify stock and material master data prior to system creation for accuracy.
• Update HS codes and freight conditions in procurement system.
• Conduct annual vendor assessments and maintain approved vendor listings.
• Coordinate new vendor registrations and assist ISO procurement documentation.

Job description

Execute sourcing activities including RFQs, price comparisons, and evaluations for engineering items, spare parts, machinery, and services (local and overseas).

Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery lead times; issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.

Manage supplier issues, including complaints and claims, and identify alternative materials or sources to ensure supply continuity.

Prepare and submit monthly cost saving and cost innovation reports.

Monitor and maintain open PR and PO tracking to ensure procurement visibility and control.

Verify stock and material master data prior to system creation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Update and maintain freight conditions and HS codes in the procurement system.

Conduct annual vendor assessments and maintain updated approved vendor listings.

Coordinate and process new vendor registrations in accordance with company procedures.

Assist in updating ISO-related procurement documentation and support audit activities.

Actively participate in 5S initiatives to promote a clean, safe, and organized workplace.

Perform internal auditor roles for 5S, ISO, ABCMS, and EHS as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

4 - 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in sourcing industrial materials, spare parts, equipment, or production-related items.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of vendor management, contract administration, and procurement best practices.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
