Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with international shipping standards.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of import/export documents for audits and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs brokers, and other third-party providers for efficient transportation.
• Manage relationships with overseas suppliers and buyers to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
• Track and monitor shipments, coordinate with warehouse teams to align inbound/outbound shipments with inventory needs.
• Conduct periodic audits of import/export procedures and prepare reports for stakeholders and authorities.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, legal, and finance teams on trade-related matters and provide staff training on procedures.

Senior Executive - Import & Export Operations

Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, customs requirement, and international trade laws.

Oversee documentation for custom clearances

Customs and Documentation Management

• Prepare and review all shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with international shipping standards
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of import/export documents for audits and legal requirements

Vendor and Logistics Management

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers to ensure efficient transportation
• Manage relationships with overseas suppliers and buyers to ensure timely and compliant shipments

Inventory and Shipment Tracking

• Track and monitor shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any delays or
• Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to align inbound and outbound shipments with inventory needs

Compliance Audits and Reporting

• Conduct periodic audits of import/export procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and government authorities on import/export activities.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams such as procurement, supply chain, legal, and finance to ensure alignment on trade-related matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Experience working with customs regulations and global trade compliance.
• Experience in negotiating contracts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and suppliers Thorough understanding of local and international customs regulations, trade compliance, tariff classifications, and duty management.
• Familiarity with free trade agreements (e.g., NAFTA, EU trade agreements) and other trade Familiarity with global shipping routes, trade lanes, and logistics networks.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple shipments, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
• Precision in handling import/export documentation and customs declarations to avoid costly errors and delays
• Proficiency in import/export documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin.
