Job summary

Mah Sing Group Berhad, a Bursa Malaysia-listed real estate developer, seeks a Senior Executive / Executive - Strategic Communications to join its Corporate Communications team in Kuala Lumpur. You will monitor media issues, craft key messages, and maintain consistent information releases to media and the public.

The role emphasizes English writing standards with Malay and Chinese language skills as an advantage.

Qualifications

Degree in Mass Communication or equivalent.
Strong written English; Malay and Chinese language skills are advantageous.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
At least 1 year of corporate communications or public relations experience preferred.
Ability to emcee is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Monitor, track, and provide guidance on emerging media issues affecting reputation.
Communicate key company messages to media and public with accuracy and consistency.
Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other corporate materials; ensure high standards of English writing.
Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate, and execute media events, press conferences, launches, and briefings; emcee ability is a plus.
Coordinate production of corporate publications and liaise with external agencies and vendors.

Senior Executive / Executive - Strategic Communications

The Corporate Communications Department is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and providing recommendations on emerging media issues that may affect the Company's reputation and public standing. The role involves communicating key company messages, ensuring accuracy and consistency in information released to the media and public.

Key responsibilities

Day-to-day functions of the Corporate Communications Department

Monitor, track, and provide recommendations on emerging media issues that may affect the Company's reputation and public standing.

Communicate key company messages, ensuring accuracy and consistency in information released to the media and public.

Draft, edit, communications materials and distribute press releases, feature articles, media advisories, and other corporate Ensure high standards of written communications in English; proficiency in Malay and Chinese is an advantage.

Media & Public Relations

Build, liaise, and maintain strong relationships with media representatives and stakeholders.

Plan and execute effective media communications and public relations initiatives to support the Company's strategies.

Coordinate press interviews, prepare spokespersons with talking points, and pitch stories/interviews to secure publicity.

Plan, coordinate, and execute media events including press conferences, launches, and briefings; ability to emcee will be an added advantage.

Award Submissions

Collaborate with internal departments to gather project/campaign information for award submissions.

Evaluate, prepare, and submit entries for reputable industry awards that enhance the Company's brand reputation and recognition.

Publication and third-party management

Coordinate the production of corporate publications such as the Integrated Annual Report, corporate profile, and other collaterals.

Assist in the creation and production of marketing and branding materials (eg., calendars, greeting cards, advertisements, videos).

Liaise with and manage external agencies, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and quality project implementation.

Events

Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, media launches, and stakeholder engagements to strengthen the Company's brand presence.

Provide communications support during events, including speech drafts, media kits, and event publicity.

About you

Possess a Degree in Mass Communication or equivalent

High standards of written communications in English; proficiency in Malay and Chinese is an advantage

Fresh graduates are welcome

Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in corporate communications or public relations industry will be an added advantage

Ability to emcee will be an added advantage
