Job summary

Mah Sing Group Berhad, listed on Bursa Malaysia, seeks a Government Relations professional to liaise with government authorities on project matters in Johor Bahru. The role includes assisting the GM - Project Implementation, following up on submissions, and coordinating with consultants and internal teams.

Applicants should have SPM, certificate, diploma or degree in administration or related fields, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in real estate industry is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with relevant technical agencies, local authorities and government bodies on project matters.
• Assist and report to the General Manager - Project Implementation on liaison matters.
• Follow up on submissions, applications and approvals with government authorities.
• Coordinate with consultants and project teams to facilitate submissions and approvals.
• Prepare official correspondence for management review and approval.
• Handle inquiries from government authorities and external agencies.
• Maintain filing systems per ISO requirements.
• Build strong relationships with authorities and agencies.
• Liaise with authorities such as SAJ, IWK, TNB, JKR, and others.

Job description

Liaise with relevant technical agencies, local authorities, and government bodies on project-related matters.

Assist and report to the General Manager - Project Implementation on authority and government liaison matters.

Follow up on submissions, applications, and approvals with relevant government authorities.

Coordinate with consultants, project planning, and project implementation teams to facilitate submissions, approvals, and supporting letters.

Prepare official correspondence to relevant authorities for management's review and approval prior to issuance.

Handle enquiries and communication from government authorities and external agencies.

Maintain proper filing and documentation systems in accordance with ISO requirements.

Establish and maintain good working relationships and strong rapport with technical agencies, local authorities, and government bodies.

Experience liaising with government authorities and external agencies such as SAJ, IWK, TNB, JKR, and other relevant bodies.

Requirements

SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Administration, Building, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Experience in the building and civil infrastructure industry will be an added advantage.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Candidates must have prior working experience in the real estate industry.
