Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Analysis, Process Improvement & Regional Projects (60%)
- Data Analysis & Root Cause: Use data to find patterns in delays, repeat errors and duty cost across countries. Explain why the problem happened, and work with the teams to put fixes in place so it does not happen again.
- Recommendations: Turn your findings into clear options with numbers, and present a recommendation to management.
- Process Mapping & Improvement: Map how our countries work today. Find gaps, manual steps and double work, and design simple standard processes, SOPs and templates.
- Regional Projects: Plan and run regional projects (e.g. escalation process, country scorecard, lead-time improvement). Set the timeline, follow up with country teams, and report progress to management.
- Business Voice to COE: Work with the COE team on new systems and tools: explain business needs and pain points, join user-acceptance testing (UAT), and help country teams adopt the new way of working. (COE owns system design and build.)
- KPI Insight: Track regional KPIs, compare performance across countries, and flag gaps and risks early.
- Share & Standardize: Share your improvements and lessons learned with the regional team so all countries can use them, and help other PICs put good ideas into action.
- Country Portfolio & Operations Support (40%)
- Country Portfolio: Act as the regional main contact for one smaller country. Know its import volume, trade lanes, issues and risks.
- China–Country Coordination: Act as the middle between the China export side (CN team / exporter) and the local country import team. Align documents, shipments and requirements between both sides.
- Issue Support & Escalation: Support the local team on issues that need HQ help, such as customs holds, document errors and delays. Escalate when needed and follow up until closed.
- Country Reporting: Prepare regular updates for your country, including the country review in the regional monthly meeting.
