B. Braun is seeking a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Tax in Penang, Malaysia. You will drive tax compliance, manage reporting and collaborate with finance, HR, and operations to embed robust tax processes.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in taxation, strong knowledge of Malaysian tax rules, and proficiency in SAP and MS Office, with fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu. This role is based on site in Penang.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant taxation experience in Malaysia.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia tax compliance and returns.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns, declarations, and reports to authorities on time and accurately.
• Analyze financial data for periodic internal and external reporting.
• Advise on Malaysia withholding tax, service tax, related party transactions and transfer pricing.
• Evaluate activities and transactions for legal and regulatory compliance.
• Share knowledge on tax/work improvement quarterly.
• Collaborate with finance, HR and operations to embed tax compliance into processes.
• Manage relationships with external tax consultants to ensure quality service.
• Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Your key responsibilities:

• Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations and other required reports required by competent authorities are submitted in a timely and quality manner.
• Conduct analysis on financial data for periodic internal and external reportings
• Advise on matters related to Malaysia withholding tax, service tax, related party transactions and transfer pricing issues
• Evaluate the organisation's current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations
• Share knowledge on tax/work improvement in the company for each quarter
• Work closely with finance, HR and operations teams to embed tax compliance into everyday business processes
• Manage ongoing relationships with, external tax consultants to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
• Support in ad-hoc projects

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor Degree preferably in Finance/ Accounting/Business. At least 6 years of relevant experience in taxation field.
• Excellent knowledge of Malaysia tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Good knowledge of SAP and MS. Office.
• Managing desk and field tax audits dealing directly with tax authorities.
• Good proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu.
